the Japan Care Training Center(JCTC) in May 2025,

the school’s system of “Nippuku Kaigo”
(Japan-quality welfare education) to students

  • As populations continue to age, societies everywhere are facing growing nursing care needs. The Japan Welfare Education College , which established a Nursing Care and Welfare Course in 1988, served as a model school for training care workers even before the introduction of the national examination for care workers. Needs for nursing care have become more diverse now, and the opening of the Japan Care Training Center at the Japan Welfare Education College will address growing care needs both in Japan and abroad.

“Creating the future of a new kind of caregiving.”

The Japan Welfare Vocational School, whose motto is “Creating the future of a new kind of caregiving,” has served as a model school for training care workers since its founding over 40 years ago. Many of the school’s graduates, both Japanese and foreign students, are now working as nationally certified care workers and taking a leading role in nursing care facilities in the welfare and healthcare fields. Many Asian countries today, such as China, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Nepal, have enjoyed economic growth over the past 30 years. But they are expected to experience population aging, similarly to the situation in Japan today.Care workers in Japan have no difficulty finding employment—the employment rate is 100%—and five to 10 years from now, this is also expected to be the case not only in Asian countries but everywhere around the world. The Japan Welfare Vocational School established the Japan Care Training Center (JCTC) to support Asian foreign students and students studying nursing care, to work with students to support the creation of a new future for nursing care.
